I would like to use desktop widget (Yahoo widget, google gadgets, microsoft gadagets) to constnatly read the current URL of the Browser and report it to a server.
So user browses by its IE/FF and the widget monitors its locations.
The widget gets information from the server that is relevant for the viewed page, and present it.
Can widgets access the URL/Dom tree/http traffic that are related to Browser process ?
Thanks in advance.
Can desktop widgets access Browser process and get its DOM?
It's not likely to find a widget to do what you are requesting.
You can search the gallery.

You could create a widget. That's the nature of widgets, people create them to meet a need.
