I have a personal laptop which runs on Windows Vista and a company-owned laptop which runs on XP Professional. Both have Yahoo Widgets installed. When I tried to update to the latest version of the Widget engine I found I had to uninstall the old version in order to upgrade to the new version. I thought upgrades should write over the current version, but Yahoo apparently thinks otherwise. Is there any way to upgrade the Widget engine other than uninstalling the old version?
How do I upgrade Yahoo Widgets?
It didn't make me uninstall. What version are you on? Is it a problem to uninstall and reinstall..? I found when I updated, my selected widgets were still there...
Reply:There are lots of programs out that do the same thing...this is not unusual at all.
Reply:It shouldnt ask you to uninstall if you go to widgets.yahoo.com
