Umm.... I'm very bad with computers and computer terms so you may want to explain in extreme detail as if you were talking to a 8 year old. What are widgets, and what are their uses?
What are Widgets?
Yahoo! Widgets are small, specific applications that run on your desktop. Widgets tend to look like small pictures or animations.
Widgets help save time and provide an at-a-glance view of your favourite Internet services on your desktop. A Widget can do almost anything from displaying a weather forecast to playing a game.
The Yahoo! Widget Gallery offers over 4,000 desktop Widgets. Widgets are free from the Gallery.
