Yahoo Widgets?

I need serious help here because I downloaded Yahoo! Avater Widgets on my computer and I put my avatar picture on my screen but I don't want my avater picture on the screen and it won't let me get rid of it. When I right click, it doesn't have an option that lets me close the frame. Help!!!

What are Yahoo! Widgets?


Yahoo! Widgets are mini-applications that you can run as utilities on your desktop. They use a special program called the Yahoo! Widget Engine, which is available for both Windows and Mac OS X. You can download the Engine and a starter set of Widgets from widgets.yahoo.com.





A Widget can do almost anything from displaying a weather forecast to playing a game. Widgets generally sit on your desktop and don't look like "normal" applications. Instead, they'll likely look like small pictures or animations.


Where can I get more Widgets?


You can either choose "Get More Widgets..." from the Yahoo! Widgets menu, or you can go to the Widget Gallery at widgets.yahoo.com.





Note that Yahoo! only supports the Widgets that come with the Yahoo! Widget Engine, not the Widgets developed by others in the Gallery.

I want to uninstall the Yahoo! Widget Engine and Yahoo! Widgets.


These instructions describe removing the Yahoo! Widget Engine for both Macintosh and Windows systems. Follow the instructions that apply to your computer. After following these directions, it's best to restart your computer as a final step.





To uninstall Yahoo! Widgets on a Windows PC:





1.Open the Yahoo! Widgets menu by clicking the gear icon in your system tray


2.Choose Quit Yahoo! Widget Engine


3.Open the "Add or Remove Programs" control panel.


4.Choose Yahoo! Widget Engine in the list.


5.Press the "Remove" button.


To uninstall Yahoo! Widgets on a Macintosh:


1.Click on the gear icon in the System menu bar and choose "Quit Yahoo! Widget Engine".


2.Open your Applications folder in the Finder and send the Widget Engine icon to the Trash.


3.Open your Documents folder and send the Widgets folder to the Trash.


4.If you had set Yahoo! Widgets to run when the computer is restarted, open the Accounts System Preference panel, click on the "Startup Items" tab, select the row with Yahoo! Widgets on it from the list, and press the "-" button below the list (it’s a minus sign).
