If I press START + M (to minimize all windows) it will also minimize all the widgets. I don't want that to happen. I want the widgets to stay on the desktop but not be on the top of other windows. I tried adjusting the preferences for the widgets but couldn't figure out how to do it. I did do it on another computer with Yahoo Widgets installed. This could have been a older version.
How do I set widgets to stay on the desktop even after I use the minimize all windows shortcut?
always been a problem with the minimise function... It always gets rid of the stuff you want to stay up! While I don't a concrete solution, I did just discover a decent workaround. The standard shortcut to bring all Widgets to the front of the screen (I am using Vista with Google Sidebar) is hitting SHIFT twice... So after minimising all windows just hit shift twice and they all come back!
